For tradies

Looking for a hipages alternative?

An honest, plain-English comparison of paying for lead credits versus a flat-fee directory listing. Both have a place. Here is how to decide.

Updated · Find My Tradie

hipages is one of Australia's biggest tradie marketplaces, and plenty of tradies get good work from it. Others find the cost, the contract or the competition on each lead doesn't suit their business. This page sets out how the two models differ so you can pick what fits. Find My Tradie isn't affiliated with hipages.

How hipages charges (as published)

According to hipages' own membership costs page (checked 30 October 2026):

  • Memberships start from $139 + GST a month (Starter, 155 credits) up to $649 + GST a month (Platinum, 850 credits).
  • You use credits to accept job leads. The number of credits per lead varies with trade, suburb, job size and demand.
  • Each lead can be accepted by up to three businesses.
  • Subscriptions start on a 6-month introductory term and then renew on a 12-month term.

Check their site for the current details before you decide, because pricing can change.

Which one suits you?

A lead marketplace may suit you if you need jobs this week, have the budget, and are good at quoting fast against competitors.

A flat-fee listing suits you if you want another cheap, always-on place to be found, hate lock-in contracts, or just want a solid profile page while you build word of mouth. Plenty of tradies do both, and a $19 listing is a small add-on next to whatever else you use.

Straight up: Find My Tradie is new (launched October 2026). We're signing up tradies first, area by area, so homeowners find a full directory when we start promoting it to them. We can't guarantee leads or work, and we won't pretend to. What you get is a cheap, permanent profile page with no lock-in, so you can try it for a month and cancel by email if it isn't for you.
