What your listing shows

  • Your business name, logo, a photo of your work and a short description (up to 300 characters)
  • Up to five trades, so you can list Painter plus related work
  • Your base suburb and how far you travel (5 to 200 km). You're shown nearest-first to people searching suburbs you cover
  • The public phone, email and website you choose, plus your ABN and licence number

Customers call, email or send a job request straight to you. Here's an example of a listing.

Work people search for

Homeowners usually search for the job, not the trade. For painters, that means searches like:

  • Interior painting
  • Exterior painting
  • Roof painting
  • Commercial painting
  • Wallpapering
  • Prep and repairs

Mention the jobs you want more of in your description.

Licences and insurance

Licensing depends on your state and the type and value of the work. If your trade needs a licence where you work, add the number to your listing. Homeowners are increasingly told to check it before they hire. In some states, residential painting over a set value needs a licence.

Under our listing agreement you keep your details accurate and hold any licences and insurance your work needs.

Tip for painters

Say whether you do interiors, exteriors, roofs or commercial work. Homeowners often filter painters by job type.
