Terms of Use

Last updated: 26 October 2026

Find My Tradie is a directory that connects homeowners with local tradies. We aren’t a party to any job, and we don’t guarantee the quality of any tradie’s work. Please read these terms before using the website.

About these terms

This website (findmytradie.au) is operated by National Sales Corp Pty Ltd (ACN 670 131 174, ABN 48 670 131 174) trading as FindMyTradie.AU ("Find My Tradie", "we", "us").

These Terms of Use apply to everyone who uses the website, including homeowners and other visitors looking for a tradie, and tradies who list a business. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.

Tradies who pay for a listing also agree to our separate Listing Subscription Agreement. If that agreement and these terms conflict, the Listing Subscription Agreement applies to the listing.

What Find My Tradie is

Find My Tradie is an online directory. It helps people find local trade and service businesses and contact them directly.

We only connect homeowners and tradies. We do not perform, supervise, quote for or guarantee any work, and we do not handle payments between homeowners and tradies.

We are not a party to any job

Any quote, contract, job or payment is between you and the tradie. We are not a party to it, and we are not responsible for:

  • the quality, safety, timing, legality or price of any work
  • anything a tradie or homeowner says or does
  • any dispute between a homeowner and a tradie

If you have a problem with a job, please raise it with the tradie first. You may also be able to get help from NSW Fair Trading or the consumer protection agency in your state or territory.

No guarantee of tradie quality

A listing on Find My Tradie is not a recommendation or endorsement. We don’t guarantee that any tradie is qualified, licensed, insured, available or suitable for your job, and we may not check the information tradies give us.

Before you hire anyone, we encourage you to:

  • check their licence (for example on the NSW Fair Trading licence check) and insurance
  • get written quotes and compare more than one business
  • ask for references and a written contract for larger jobs

Tradies’ responsibilities

If you list a business, you are responsible for:

  • holding and keeping current every licence, registration and permit your work requires
  • holding adequate insurance (such as public liability insurance)
  • making sure your listing is accurate, up to date and not misleading
  • complying with all applicable laws, including the Australian Consumer Law, licensing laws, and privacy and spam laws when you contact customers

We may edit, suspend or remove a listing that we reasonably believe is inaccurate, misleading or unlawful.

Public listings and contact details

Each tradie listing shows business details the tradie has agreed to publish: the business name, trades, base suburb and service area, the public phone and email the tradie chose, website, ABN, licence number, and any logo, photo and description they supplied. Before a listing goes live the tradie must confirm they consent to these details being shown publicly.

Listings appear only while the tradie’s subscription is active. Search results are ordered by distance from the suburb or postcode you search; distances are approximate, measured between suburb centres.

You may use the contact details in a listing only to contact that business about work you want done. You must not copy them into another list or directory, or use them for marketing or spam.

Tradies can change or remove any detail at any time by emailing us, and can ask us to hide their listing.

Acceptable use

When using the website, you must not:

  • break any law or encourage anyone else to
  • post or send content that is false, misleading, defamatory, offensive or that infringes anyone’s rights
  • impersonate another person or business
  • scrape, copy or harvest listings or contact details, or use them to send spam
  • interfere with the website’s security or operation, or try to access it in an unauthorised way
  • use the website to collect information about people without their consent

We may suspend or block access to the website if you breach these terms.

Intellectual property

The website’s design, text, graphics, logos and software are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you must not copy, reproduce or republish it without our written permission.

Tradies keep ownership of the content they supply for their listing (such as logos, photos and text) and give us permission to use it as set out in the Listing Subscription Agreement.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent the law allows:

  • the website is provided “as is”, and we don’t promise that it will be available at all times or free of errors
  • we are not liable for any loss arising from your dealings with a tradie or homeowner you found through the website
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss
  • where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again

The website may link to other websites, such as a tradie’s own site or our direct debit provider. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

Privacy

We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version applies from the date it is published on this page. Paying tradies will receive notice of changes as set out in the Listing Subscription Agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
