Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

In short: we collect the details needed to list your business and bill you, we don’t store your bank details (our direct debit provider does), and we don’t sell your information.

Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how National Sales Corp Pty Ltd (ACN 670 131 174, ABN 48 670 131 174) trading as FindMyTradie.AU ("Find My Tradie", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

When a tradie signs up to list a business, we collect:

  • your name, mobile number and email address
  • your business name and trade (if you provide them)
  • your acceptance of our Listing Subscription Agreement, including your typed name as an electronic signature, and the date and time you accepted
  • your ABN, licence number, base suburb and postcode, service radius and website
  • the public phone number and public email you choose to show on your listing (by default, your mobile and email)
  • any logo, photo and description you upload
  • if a Find My Tradie staff member completes the sign-up with you over the phone, the staff member’s name and a note that you accepted verbally

Direct debit details. Your bank or card details for direct debit are entered on, and held by, our direct debit provider. We do not collect or store your full bank account details on this website.

When you browse the website, our hosting provider may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers.

During sign-up, your progress is saved in your own browser’s local storage so that refreshing the page doesn’t lose your details. This stays on your device; you can clear it by finishing or restarting sign-up, or by clearing your browser data.

Why we collect it

We collect and use personal information to:

  • create and publish your listing so homeowners can find and contact you
  • set up and manage your subscription, including billing by direct debit
  • keep a record of your acceptance of the Listing Subscription Agreement
  • contact you about your account, listing, payments and changes to our terms
  • respond to questions and complaints
  • operate, secure and improve the website
  • meet our legal obligations

If you don’t give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to list your business or provide our service.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we disclose it to

We disclose personal information only as needed to provide our service, including to:

  • our direct debit provider, to set up and collect your subscription payments
  • our website hosting provider, which stores the website and the sign-up information submitted through it
  • professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed
  • government agencies or others where the law requires or permits it

Your public listing. With your consent (given at sign-up), your listing publicly shows your business name, trades, base suburb and service area, public phone and public email, website, ABN, licence number, logo, photo and description. Anyone visiting the website can see these details, and search engines may index them. Your private contact name, mobile and email are not shown unless you chose them as your public details. Your listing is shown only while your subscription is active; you can ask us to change or hide it at any time by emailing info@findmytradie.au.

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled in a way that is consistent with the APPs.

How we store and protect it

We store personal information electronically with our service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including by using secure (HTTPS) connections and limiting access to people who need it.

When we no longer need personal information for any purpose permitted by law, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing info@findmytradie.au. We will respond within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days). If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing, unless that would be unreasonable.

Tradies can also ask us to update, hide or remove their listing details at any time. When a listing is hidden it is no longer shown publicly, but search engines and other sites may take some time to remove copies they have already made.

Marketing

We may email you about your account and our service. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We will still send you messages we need to send about your account.

Complaints

If you think we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please email info@findmytradie.au with details. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page.
